Clarification about Health Information in Hilltopper HealthQuest
It is the responsibility of the St. Edward's University community to guide students in the formation of the total person. As a Catholic university, we understand this formation process through the prism of four components: church teachings, sacred scripture, secular disciplines and human experience. While information provided in Hilltopper HealthQuest addresses a wide range of social, physical and medical aspects of a healthy life, it does not sufficiently address the moral and spiritual dimensions that are important in making various health decisions.
St. Edward's University expects students, whatever their religious affiliation, to utilize their critical thinking and moral reasoning skills, as well as to confer with Health & Counseling Center staff; Campus Ministry; or another priest, pastor, rabbi or trusted person to address health and medical issues that involve social, moral and spiritual dimensions.
